After Kostecki dominated the opening races of the weekend, the pressure immediately shifted toward the Triple Eight garage as Feeney searched for a response. The championship contender had shown promising pace throughout practice and qualifying and entered the race knowing a strong result was needed to keep himself firmly in the title conversation.

As the lights went out, Feeney made an excellent launch and immediately settled into the leading battle heading into Turn One. The opening lap once again produced the intense racing that Albert Park has become known for, with multiple drivers fighting aggressively for position through the fast opening sector.

Feeney quickly established himself at the front, but there was little opportunity to relax as Kostecki remained within close range. Matt Payne also looked competitive and joined the battle early, ensuring the race quickly developed into a three-way fight for victory.

Throughout the opening stages, the margin between the leading drivers remained incredibly close. Feeney and Kostecki traded fastest laps as both drivers searched for any possible advantage around the high-speed Albert Park circuit. The pair looked evenly matched as they attacked the kerbs and pushed their cars to the limit.

The pressure intensified during the middle stages of the race as Kostecki slowly began closing the gap. Every corner became critical, with the DJR driver continuing to apply pressure and looking for any opportunity to force a mistake from the Triple Eight driver.

As the race entered its closing laps, the crowd around Albert Park watched an intense battle unfold. Feeney remained calm despite Kostecki staying firmly within striking distance and continued producing clean and consistent laps under enormous pressure.
