Red Bull Ampol Racing has unveiled a look for the Gold Coast 500, with Broc Feeney and Will Brown set to race in a special “Summer Edition” livery. The design brings a theme to the team’s Ford Mustang as the series arrives on the Gold Coast.

The reveal took place in the heart of the Gold Coast, where the drivers presented the car beneath sunny skies. Fans watched the reveal. The Mustang was displayed inside an oversized box styled like a model car package, ahead of one of the biggest events on the calendar.
The new design takes inspiration from Red Bull’s Summer Edition drink. The themed Mustang will be accompanied by matching race suits and team uniforms, giving the squad an appearance across the weekend. The livery also adds to the event atmosphere as the championship prepares to tackle the Surfers Paradise street circuit.
For Feeney, the Gold Coast event carries meaning. The Queensland driver described it as a home race and said he was excited to return to the “Goldy” and see support from people close to home. He also welcomed the new design, noting that it suits the setting and marks the team’s first livery inspired by a Red Bull edition product.
The Gold Coast 500 has become a regular opportunity for Triple Eight to make a visual change. This is the second year in a row that the team has introduced a different livery for the event. In 2025, its cars featured a design created by a fan, while this year’s scheme is built around the Summer Edition branding.
The timing of the unveiling comes with the prospect of unsettled weather. Heavy rain is forecast across the race weekend, which begins with practice and qualifying on Friday. The colours could provide a striking contrast to grey skies and wet track conditions if the forecast proves accurate.
Feeney and Brown will now take the special Mustang into a weekend where street-circuit precision and changing conditions can quickly shape the competitive order. The Gold Coast layout leaves little room for error, putting pressure on drivers to find speed while keeping the car clear of the barriers.
With its distinctive presentation, matching apparel and local connection for Feeney, the Summer Edition livery gives Red Bull Ampol Racing an identity for the event. The team will hope the new look accompanies a strong result on the streets of Surfers Paradise.
