The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship will go down as one of the most dramatic and talked-about seasons in the category’s modern era. Defined by outright dominance, pivotal endurance races, and the introduction of a Finals Series, the year delivered relentless competition and a championship outcome that sparked widespread debate.
From the outset, Broc Feeney emerged as the standout performer. The Triple Eight driver produced a commanding regular season, combining raw speed with maturity beyond his years. Feeney claimed the most race wins across the calendar and built a substantial points lead, often controlling races from the front and proving virtually untouchable on pure performance. Teammate Will Brown added to Triple Eight’s strength, consistently finishing inside the top positions and ensuring the team remained the benchmark throughout the year.

Despite Triple Eight’s dominance, several challengers kept the title fight alive. Chaz Mostert relied on experience and consistency to stay within reach, while Grove Racing enjoyed a breakout season through Matt Payne and young gun Kai Allen, both of whom delivered career-defining performances and race victories.

The endurance phase proved a turning point. The Bathurst 1000 was a chaotic, weather-affected affair that reshaped the championship narrative. Payne’s stunning victory at Mount Panorama was a highlight of the season and a major boost for Grove Racing, while several title contenders lost valuable ground in the most punishing race of the year.
All eyes then turned to the Finals Series. The points reset compressed the field and placed unprecedented importance on performance in the final rounds. Despite Feeney’s season-long dominance, his advantage was significantly reduced heading into the finale, ensuring the championship would be decided under maximum pressure.
The title was ultimately settled at the Adelaide 500, where drama, strategy, and execution proved decisive. In a tense and controversial conclusion, Mostert delivered when it mattered most to secure the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship, capitalising on the Finals format to claim the crown.
