GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS provided one of the biggest talking points of the event as Geyer Valmont Racing by Tigani capitalised on misfortune to secure a crucial victory. Brendon Leitch and Sergio Pires delivered a composed and calculated performance in their Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo to claim top honours and move into the championship lead heading toward Darwin. Their success came after problems struck the previously leading Kelso Electrical Team MPC Audi, dramatically changing the title picture.
GT Trophy competition also produced strong performances, with experienced campaigners continuing to demonstrate consistency and race management under pressure. As the season develops, reliability and execution are proving just as important as outright speed.

Monochrome GT4 Australia once again showcased the category’s depth and competitiveness. Tom Hayman and co-driver Jett Murray secured their first victory together after fighting back through the field in an impressive display of race craft. Across the class battles, teams continued to maximise strategy and consistency to close the weekend strongly.
Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia added another memorable chapter to its inaugural season. Debutant Oli Wickham announced himself immediately by taking victory in the Johnson Cup while also securing success in the Dark Horse Junior class. Tight racing throughout the field reinforced why the category has quickly become a fan favourite within the SpeedSeries program.
Radical Cup Australia wrapped up the weekend with one final battle, where Chris Reindler and Bryce Moore backed up earlier success to secure another victory in a race shaped by attrition and late drama. Surviving the final laps proved critical as multiple retirements changed the complexion of the contest.
With Queensland complete, attention now turns north as the Shannons SpeedSeries prepares for its first-ever visit to Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin. If Queensland was any indication, the championship battles are only beginning to heat up.
